Thurrock Ju Jitsu

JuJitsu Club run by Hanshi Brian Herbert 9th Dan, with classes in both Stanford-le-Hope and East Tilbury.  Jikishin JuJitsu Association syllabus is designed to give each student the tools with which to defend themselves against a variety of attacks.

What is Ju Jitsu?

Jikishin Ju Jitsu is based on the ancient Japanese art of Ju Jitsu.

We practice a modern style which has been designed to be a complete self defence system. The object is to train the student to deal with almost any attack, including attacks by more than one assailant, defences against knife attacks, and attacks and defences using a stick or club. The evolution of Jikishin Ju Jitsu from an ancient battlefield art into a modern, effective and comprehensive self defence system has required a rethink on how we need to consider our responses to an attack, and remain within the law.
